Is Personal Care At Home Right For Me Or My Loved One?

Personal care at home allows you or your elderly loved one to maintain independence. You can continue to live in your own home where you are most comfortable. Plus, you have peace of mind that someone is going to be around to help when you need it.

Personal care at home is flexible. Your home carers will arrive at specific times during the day, in keeping with your routine, to help you with the personal tasks you otherwise struggle with. Personal care is often combined with other types of care, such as Domestic Assistance or Live-In Care.

Professional personal care is often required for individuals who need help with daily personal tasks:

  • Getting in and out of bed
  • Going to the toilet
  • Bathing and oral hygiene
  • Foot care
  • Applying creams and lotions
  • Support with shaving
  • Dressing
  • Brushing hair, applying hair products
  • Eating and drinking

This may be an elderly person or someone with mobility issues. Personal care is carried out in the comfort of your own home by trained, experienced carers.
